Walks
Looking for that special someone to accompany you on your countryside walks? Then this is for you. Not only would you be able to experience the beautiful Leicestershire countryside, but you will do so accompanied by new fluffy companions. Your experience will begin with introducing the health and safety precautions to ensure that you are well prepared to enjoy your trekking with the Alpacas.
What do you need to bring?
Make sure that you have suitable clothes for the weather. (If it’s raining, bring a waterproof coat, and if it's sunny, bring some sun cream).
Appropriate footwear is a must. If it’s wet, we recommend wellies, and in summer we advise some comfortable boots or trainers.
This experience involves physical activity, including walking on hilly areas and uneven grassland. You must be capable of walking at the speed of the Alpacas and keep the walking pace of your group. If you have smaller children with you, then you must make sure that they will walk the whole distance; if not, please bring a carrier. You will not be allowed to carry your child and walk the Alpaca simultaneously as this can be dangerous. Pregnant women may participate but must be extra vigilant with hand sanitisation and other hygiene methods by our guidance on safe practice around handling animals. We recommend washing your hands thoroughly after the visit and keeping hygienic at all times.
